Heather Barrie of The Vitality Junction needed a venue for one of her Stress Management workshops. After asking for advice at one of our Premier Club Open Forums she came away with three great ideas for funky spaces that wouldn’t swallow up the budget and where she could also bring in her own caterers.

I did a 10 minute presentation at the Hastings Premier Club which was greatly received. I have already two meetings booked for potential telemarketing work from the lunch and have taken on two telemarketers, so it is all moving in the right direction!

Trying to self publish a book is not easy and particularly when you know little about layout, design and printing plus I was having very little faith in anyone I approached to help. At my next Premier Club meeting I met a great graphic designer who is in the process of sorting me out. The great thing is she is taking all the hassle out of the illustrations, layout organising and liasing with the printers, leaving me to get on with what I am best at seeing clients and giving presentations- earning the money!

Jane has been a member of the Tunbridge Wells Premier Club since it launched in 2005 and adores the meetings.
Not only has she had a number of opportunities to quote for redesigns and rebuilds of websites, but as a sole trader working at home on her own she really appreciate the opportunity to mix and mingle with other business women and to bounce ideas off of them. Jane has gained a huge amount of confidence and exposure, and her business saw a 20% increase in turnover last year, so she is steadily growing.

I went along as a 'rookie' to the wonderful venue of Pelham House, Lewes. The meeting and lunch was great, and as per instructions, I said my Company piece and had to leave as the car was about to be towed away. Imagine my delight on being contacted later on by a fellow member and asked to quote for some HR work. This was duly done, and we have had confirmation that the work can proceed.
This demonstrates one thing to me - it's not who I know, or even who I would like to know, it's who knows me ..... a very powerful selling tool this networking!! Thanks to everyone for such a splendid start

Annette needed to find a good way of distributing her Eco Friendly cleaning products to her customers but wasn't sure how to present them. At a meeting of the Reigate Premier Club she asked everyone present for some ideas and they came up with the idea of a plain brown paper bag with string handles thus keeping in line with her eco friendly ethics - perfect!

Sue Rose of Tsarine says “The Womens Networking Group has been an invaluable source of business”. Sue has said that the opportunity to build relationships with like minded individuals has at least doubled if not trebled her turnover in the last year. “The Womens Networking Group is like having your own sales force” Says Sue. She also added said that she had been introduced to many other businesses that have been able to help her with her own business – “a real B2B group with help always to hand”.

Fiona Humberstone, Managing Director of Printing.Com, Guildford was recruiting for a key position within her company and asked for advice on how to utilise psychometric assessments in her decision-making.
After raising this question during one of the Open Forums at the Guildford Premier Club, Fiona was given advice from an experienced HR Director, she incorporated the assessment results into the interview process, enabling her to make her decision to hire in a fair and professional way. She was quoted as saying that ‘using the assessment results in this manner was extremely successful and enabled both parties to learn about each other in a more confident way.

I am really excited about my monthly meetings and have found them invaluable in stimulating me to go further forward with my business. I have already had 2 business opportunities from this and I only joined 2 months ago. I also really enjoy sharing my knowledge and contacts with others, it is very rewarding. I have found that I can call anyone with any questions at any time and the information is always friendly, to the point and extremely useful.

Charlotte went to her first meeting at Croydon and in the open forum
session handed out a selection of urgent positions that she was looking to
fill. Everyone came up with ideas and Suzanne Parker who is also a member
and runs her own virtual PA business commented that she would be interested
in the a one day a week position working in a local letting agents. A week
later Suzanne had an interview and was offered the job which she has
started. A great networking result!
