Penny is Director of Call Clean Ltd, a Nottingham based cleaning company that currently covers The East Midlands area. She has been responsible for helping to build the company from 3 staff members to over 100 in 10 years, and has doubled the turnover every year for the past 3 years.

But Penny has another very important and demanding role as well, and that role is as a working mother to eight children.

On top of that she has completed a 13,000 feet sky dive, enjoys wake boarding, Pilates, yoga and swimming, has walked on fire and completed a pole dancing course. And she is also writing a book.

Penny truly is an expert on maintaining a great balance between career, making time for herself, and life at home and with children, and this is just part of what she will be talking about at our lunchtime meeting. Penny will also talk about some of the difficulties she has faced, and how she has picked herself back up and become happy, settled and motivated!

Ruth Ingman is an Employment Law Consultant with 15 years’ legal experience. She also has a Masters degree in Law and Employment Relations, so her knowledge and experience is comprehensive. She spent five years as a practising barrister and a further five as an employed consultant specialising in employment law before establishing Ruth Ingman Limited at the beginning of 2002.

Between 2003 and 2005, Ruth was also Chairman of Integra - the Leicestershire Chamber of Commerce’s Association for Women in Business. In that role, she joined the Board of the Chamber of Commerce as a non-executive director and has held the role of Deputy Chairman. She’s currently President Elect of the Leicestershire Chamber of Commerce and will assume the presidency in December 2008. Ruth’s also an adviser to the LeicestHERday Trust, an organisation she chaired between 2004 and 2005.
